Clemson

New coach, lost key starters. I watched them play against Virginia and here are some brief thoughts for this probable NIT team. Guard play was good and was able to generate some penetration. Bigs are good. Grant is very solid and Booker the Second is solid. They also had some other decent bigs off the bench. I n this game, the clear advantage Clemson had was height and they never… never.. exploited it. Also, Virginia got every shot they wanted, which shocked me because the coach is defensive minded. They got penetration, open jumpers, and rebounds. If they stay tight in the NCAA tournament bid race, I need to watch them again but they look like a fourth straight year of BET AGAINST.

Vs BC: They run a very patient offense. Expect a low scoring game. I did watch their defense and it has improved markedly. They were solid defensively in this game and the annoucers said they were playing fantastic defense lately. Jarai Grant is solid inside and will handle his business against most other bigs in the country. Stith is an awesome second half player… VEGAS NOTE… In their 4 road loses in the ACC leading up to this game, they were within 1 possession in all within 3 minutes to go. Interesting.
