Indiana State over Missouri State

March 7, 2011 Leave a comment

20-13 overall, 19 – 11against the spread 15-15 O/U.

Decent depth, with 9 players over 10 mins/game 9only 3 over 25.  7 players over 5 PPG.  Other than bodies, the depth doesnt represent much.  I just cant get that excited about their chances.  They might be a playin team.  This conference is balanced, but balanced at a low level of play this year, and the entire MVC is just not that great this year.

After losing to Morehead State by 6 in Mid-Feb, they beat Northern Iowa, Southern Ill, then in the tourney, Evansville, Wichita State, and Missouri State, but none of these are the teams of old in this conference.  It should also be noted that during season play, the lost twice to Wich St, twice to Evansville, and once to Missouri State.

Getting to the big dance as an over achiever, this team could get wiped out by a large margin by a 1 or 2 seed.  If they are a playin 16, they will be interesting to see if they shake off the nerves in the playin game.  I think they will really be outclassed by any of the 1 or 2 seed projected teams.
